Aim of the Society
The aim of the Society is to share a love of gardening and crafting, and to learn new skills through talks, workshops, demonstrations and events. The main events are the two Flower Shows which also include sections for crafts, cookery and photography with special classes just for children. We are affiliated to the Royal Horticultural Society and Somerset Federation of Gardening Clubs and have developing links with other local gardening clubs.
No special skills are required for membership, just an interest in growing, and meeting like-minded people. Our shows are held in the Spring and Summer and are open to all to enter or simply come and look, and we are exhibitors at the Porlock Country Fair. So, if you are interested in horticulture, or just curious about what we do, come along to a talk, visit a show, or contact the Secretary at [email protected].
